just messing around with the pencil this morning.
I'm finishing up on a rooster sculpture, and am going to sculpt a baby dragon so this kinda popped out.
It's funny how this image came about though...
I was looking at a drift of snow on our deck and I saw this image.
You know how when you look at floor tile patterns, or a pattern on a rock or on ceiling textures, you see a face, shape, animal, monster face, or whatever?
Whenever that happens, I try to capture it on paper if possible...
Does anyone else do this?

I've done that... It's good fun!
I've done it also staring at my roof... it's one of those popcorn textured roofs... really rough so when you look up and the light shines in you see a bunch of shapes or you can play connect the dots.
I love ur dragon btw. A group of close friends asked me if I'd desing our personal dragon for each. Did u see "How to train your dragon"? After we saw that movie, and realized the dragons sort of match up each character's personality, they asked me to do it... I haven't gotten around to it yet.... but your design is fantastic!!!
